Andrea Thompson-Hashman

This profile organizes the civil, appellate, and mandamus records currently collected in the archive. It describes what the filings and orders did without treating a party’s allegations as established fact.

Case No. 26CI0017

The archive contains the complaint and compiled case materials. A February 23, 2026 notice dismissed the action without prejudice. The parties stipulated that defendants would waive a laches defense if the same claims were refiled. A dismissal without prejudice does not decide the underlying merits.

Appellate and mandamus records

The Fourth District’s June 10, 2026 decision explains why the requested writ in Case No. 26CA3 was denied and identifies questions outside the court’s original jurisdiction.

In a separate action, Case No. 26CA0022, Thompson-Hashman filed a verified petition for mandamus. The petition is dated August 26, 2026 and stamped filed August 27, 2026. It asserts that her November 2025 election certificate gives her a superior present claim to the City Auditor’s office and asks the court to terminate the appointment of Brian Elkins, or the person then serving as auditor, and permit her to occupy the office while the ultimate legal title is resolved. Those are the relator’s claims and requested remedies, not findings by the court.
